My 14 Product Skincare Routine

skin care routine, face products, skin care, natural products, skincare products, skin care products, skincare routine

What is your skincare routine? How do you have such clear skin? These questions I probably get at least 2x a week. My answer always is, A LOT!! That is because my skincare routine has 14 products. To answer your question, you have to know a bit of my back story. One thing a lot of people don’t know about me is that I have had a love of skincare from an extremely young age. I love my brother, but man, his skin was not great in high school. As his little sister, 7 years younger, I said NOPE that will not happen to me, and then there began my journey. I’m pretty sure the next day, I asked my mother to pick me up that lotion from the drugstore that had the day moisturizer on one side and the night moisturizer on the other.

From there, my fascination with skin just grew. I do have to say that a large part of why my skin is this clear is because of my diet and birth control, though I have made it work without being on it.  The biggest thing you need to do is DRINK WATER!!!! I know I know everyone has heard it time and time again, but it makes a huge difference. It is what is flushing out the toxins in your body. I find the trick for me to drink more is getting a tumbler with a straw, such as the Thermoflask Double Stainless Steel Insulated Water Bottle. That way, I can drink without spilling it all over myself. I am a massive klutz in that way, especially in the car.

My 14 product everyday skin care routine is a lot, but I promise it’s worth it.

Step 1: Cleansers I Am Currently Using

Morning/ Night: Omorovicza Cleansing Foam

Firstly, let’s start with this light blue cleanser. I use it morning and night. It smells like smarties candy, but it is still extraordinarily gentle and effective. This helps start my day with clean skin and take off anything that my cleansing balm missed at night.

Night: Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm

At night this is the 1st thing I use to double cleanse. This breaks down the sunscreen and makeup from the day.

Step 2: Tone

Morning/ Night:  Thayers Witch Hazel Toner in Rose Petal

When I say this is my 1 and only I mean it. I was 18 years old when I 1st started using it in my skincare routine, and it will never leave me.

Step 3: Serums

Morning: Sunday Riley C.E.O Vitamin C. Brightening Serum

As the 1stserum I put on in the morning, this little bugger has 15% vitamin c and helps with brightening the skin, dissolving dark spots, discoloration, and improves uneven textured skin.

Morning/ Night: Clarins Blue Orchid Face Treatment Oil

I have used this oil for YEARS. It helps with rebalancing the oil in the skin and softens the skin. I find it helps with dehydrated as well. I always apply this after all other serums. Usually, this last serum I put on to lock in all the goodness.

Night: Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil

1st serum of the night is this beauty. It’s this gorgeous, cobalt blue color that is fantastic. If you are looking for a non-irritating retinol serum, look no further. I used this serum before ever using prescription retinol to build up my skins’ tolerance. It does everything you would want from retinol with helping reduce wrinkles, fine lines, reducing spots, cleaning out your pores, and more. It has now become my go-to on days that I do not use my prescribed retinol, and when my skin is just not feeling up to par. I’m on bottle #3 and do not ever think my obsession will end.

Night: Ole Henriksen Invigorating Night Transformation Gel

Serum #2 at night. It has AHA’s in it that exfoliate the skin and retextures making your skin smooth and supple

Step 4: Moisturizers

Morning/Night: Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye Supercharged Complex

So this is a new one for me. I like it, and I find that it does not migrate into my eyes and irritating. I’m playing the preventative game with this one.

Morning: Tina K Nourishment K Anti- Glycation Créme

Honestly, I have almost used up 1 bottle of this. I do enjoy it, but I don’t find it does much for me. I tried it because an esthetician recommended it. It’s great for adding hydration and nourishing my skin. I think people with drier skin would enjoy better.

Night: Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation Perfecting Moisturizer

You will love this stuff. This has been in my rotation for YEARS. It’s packed full of antioxidants and acids and protects my skin from pollution while smoothing it. Use it both day and night for clearer skin.

Step 5: Sunscreen

Morning and through the day: Skinceuticals Physical Matte UV Defense Sunscreen

It is one of the only sunscreens that doesn’t leave me greasy or give me a white cast. It will forever be in my product regime.

Extras

Any Time: Odacité Rose + Neroli Hydra-Vitalizing Treatment Mist

Need a little pick me up or refresh for your makeup, use this stuff. If I’m feeling extra dry, hello ACs, Heaters, and retinol, it’s the perfect refresher.

Night: Alpha-H Liquid Gold

This stuff is MAGIC. It helps clear your skin up and reduces visible pores by getting all the junk out of there. It is an acid, and I use this 2-3x a week. Usually, I use this in place of serums and don’t apply anything after.

Night: Prescription .025% Trentinoin Cream

Lastly, everyone should have one good retinol in their rotation. I use this about 1-2x a week and will use it in place of Luna (I rotate them). I am slowly but surely building up my skin’s tolerance to the stuff.

eNow that you know my skincare regimen, I want to know what you use. I am continually looking for the best skincare out there—comment below with your HOLY GRAIL skincare items.
